From Mike Long, Ajax
Folks
Just to clarify that Marlay Park event on Sun 2 Nov is a "Fingal style" scatter event with a mass start at 12pm (not 11 to 1 as stated
in the fixtures list).
Start will be in the back car park near the BMX track and tennis court (not the front car park near Marlay House).
20 controls in total, long does any 18, medium does any 12 and short 8.
See you there!
Mike

If you said you were going to the Trail O Champs to beat all the LVO heads pipping no less than Wilbert Hollinger on the timed sections, I don't doubt that there would be some who would mutter into their beards and express doubts about your sanity.
Cian O'Reilly can take a great deal of satisfaction in having done precisely that at the championships two weeks ago.
If you look at the results on the link below you will see Cian's name at the top of the list having beaten all the LVO gang.

The Ajax team took fourth position in the relay but also played a hand in the winning team. Niall Ewen, pictured below, led out the race at the 7am start, guesting for the CNOC winning team.
Mike Long put in a strong finish over the long last leg over Lugnaquilla to pull back two positions for the fourth slot. Ajax team was Peter Kernan, Andrew McCarthy, Mike Long.
